Michael Eastwood Releases Eighth Book in the Cowboy Mike and Winston Children’s Series
New Book, Cowboy Mike and Winston: A Day at the Ball Game, Introduces Young Readers to the Fun and Traditions of Baseball
PRESCOTT, ARIZONA, September 25, 2026
Children’s author Michael Eastwood has released the eighth book in the Cowboy Mike and Winston Collection, Cowboy Mike and Winston: A Day at the Ball Game, now available on Amazon.
The newest adventure takes Cowboy Mike and Winston away from Blue Mountain Ranch and into the excitement of the ballpark.
In the story, Pedro Grifol serves as the team manager while Cowboy Mike and Winston take on the role of batboys. Young readers get an entertaining introduction to baseball while learning more about what happens on and around the field.
The book combines storytelling with baseball education, giving children a closer look at the game, the people involved, and some of the traditions that make a day at the ballpark memorable.
Cowboy Mike and Winston: A Day at the Ball Game is designed for young readers, baseball fans, families, grandparents, teachers, and readers who have followed Cowboy Mike and Winston through their previous adventures.
“This book gave us a chance to take Cowboy Mike and Winston somewhere completely different and introduce children to baseball in a fun and easy-to-understand way,” said author Michael Eastwood. “We want children to enjoy the story while learning something new along the way.”
The release also continues Eastwood’s commitment to supporting children through literacy and education.
One hundred percent of all book proceeds are donated to Pony 4 Precious, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free books and educational opportunities for children.
Through Pony 4 Precious, the Cowboy Mike and Winston book series has become part of a broader effort to place books into the hands of children, support reading, and create educational opportunities for families, teachers, schools, and community organizations.
“Every time someone purchases one of our books, they are helping us continue our mission of getting more books into the hands of children,” Eastwood said. “That makes every new book release even more meaningful.”
Cowboy Mike and Winston: A Day at the Ball Game is the eighth title in the Cowboy Mike and Winston Collection and continues the series’ focus on education, adventure, friendship, animals, and real-world learning experiences.
